Mandarins contain a significant amount of flavonoids and vitamin C, which are antioxidants and protect the body against chronic inflammation and, by extension, against serious diseases, such as cancer, while having beneficial properties for the proper functioning of the brain.

Because of their high content of vitamin C, these juicy fruits protect our immune system and are a shield against the common cold and infections in general.

At the same time, the substances found in the shell of the mandarin and left on our hands when we clean them protect the body from the severity of allergic reactions.

Like all citrus fruits, tangerines are rich in fiber. Their consumption creates a feeling of satiety, as a result of which they aid in weight loss. At the same time, research has shown that those who consume a high proportion of vegetable fibers have difficulty regaining the weight they have lost. Mandarins also contain an antioxidant substance, nobiletin, that inhibits the growth of fat cells.

They can improve the firmness of our skin. Vitamin C aids in the production of collagen, which our bodies deplete over time. At the same time, it prevents free radicals from damaging the health of the skin.

The vitamin C and antioxidant elements in tangerines may help heart health. According to research, vitamin C can lower cholesterol and triglycerides, protecting the body from atherosclerosis, the leading cause of heart attacks.
